Where is Tam Coc Ninh Binh?
Known as Halong Bay on land, Tam Coc Ninh Binh scenic spot belonging to Trang An Landscape complex. It is not only rated in special national heritages of Vietnam early, but recently recognized as the world’s natural heritage. It really appeals to travelers and is worth visiting once.
Tam Coc literally means three caves, simply One, Two and Three in numerical order. Originally, they were created by a river persistently ran through the mountain hundreds of years ago. Along that way, a simple form of transportation on river was cleverly put into tourism. It is bamboo boats, which are used for visitors discovering the Halong on land among rice paddies conveniently, where limestone rocks magically rise up.
Sailing on Ngo Dong river, a beautiful picture that rugged rocks emerge among rice fields with full of yellow is ever so slowly coming into your eyes. From on high, the river twists through rice paddies and the karst hills of Tam Coc romantically.
The best way to melt into the landscape Tam Coc
It is around 2 hours on bamboo boats; you smoothly drift through three caves and slowly enjoy Tam Coc with your own thrilling photos. Rice paddies vastly stretch from the first cave to the beginning of the second one. How Beautiful!
Annually, Tam Coc Ninh Binh attracts thousand people by its beauty from the end of May to June, especially photographers whose lenses are continuously toward the ears of rice that are plump and ripe for harvesting.
It is customary to have low banks of earth between rice-fields in many rural areas of Vietnam; however, the peasants of Van Lam village are unusual when cultivating without any banks on Ngo Dong River. While the field overflows with water, those locals are harvesting under hard sunlight.
Nearby the cave “One”, we sometime excite with a native image of boats overloading rice and of locals cutting on the Ngo Dong River. People are humble with nature and deep in working hard for a better life.
Exciting activities and nearby attractions
Thai Vi temple where Ninh Binh people worship those who partially dedicated their life for this land such as King Tran Nhan Tong, legendary General Tran Hung Dao looks sacred.
Cycling to feel subtle perfume of yellow rice, it is another activity after visiting the temple instead of sailing back to harbor. It also has some fun to say “Goodbye” Tam Coc, Ninh Binh where a splash of yellow is lovely alive on your mind.
