(News) At mid-April 2017, a written request for lifting the ban on kayaking to Halong cruises was given by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition to backlashes from travel companies, a miracle has just come to those who are about to discover the Halong Bay.
If you are keen on challenging yourself by kayaking in Halong Bay, rowing around thousands of islands dotting on the bay, it is the right time to do it. This article will show you where you will do kayak in Halong Bay exactly. Not all the bay. It depends on each cruise itinerary.

Permitted areas for kayaking in Halong Bay
On 26 April, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Long held an urgent meeting. The main point was rose up to consider conditions for Halong cruises to continue providing kayak services. He also noted to have timely direction for operating water sports and activities, especially kayaking in Halong Bay. Accordingly, cruise companies will reactivate kayaking activities from the first of May, 2017 following 05 permitted routes and 08 exact spots, namely:
- For both kayaking and rowing boats: Ba Hang, Hang Luon, Vung Tung Sau, Cua Van and Vong Vieng
- For kayaking only: Ho Dong Tien, Trinh Nu Cave, Cong Do and Hang Co

Other than lifting the ban on kayaking on Halong Bay cruises, there will be another official tourism product in Halong Bay. That is rowing boat services following the Halong government’s proposed plans. To lift kayak ban, all of Halong cruises and organizations have to assure safe conditions first. More importantly, cruise companies must register with the business registrar and to book an engagement with the Halong management board.
Always stay attractive, even without kayaking on Halong Bay

Previously, Petit Cadeau shared a news about Termination of kayaking on Halong Bay. Read it unless you have done. That prohibition was just issued on 27 March 2017 by the Halong city. From my point of view, Halong Bay still remains unique and wonderful, whether it has kayak activities or not. It should not have any over-reactions for these short-term decisions. In the ups and downs of management policies, I still found another Halong beauty at night. Keep your soul cool and enjoy your trip to Halong Bay!
